杰姆谢德·乌斯莫诺夫，Jamshed Usmonov was born in Asht, Tajikistan. After graduating from the Arts Institute, he started producing, writing and directing documentaries as well as animation and fiction movies. In 1991, he started shooting "The Well", a medium-length film that he managed to complete only in 2000, after the end of the civil war.
