佩科·卡帕里克卡，After the success of Talvisota (1989) Parikka was asked to come to Hollywood to direct a film. He spend there two years reading scripts, but none of them were interesting enough, so he declined all the offers that were given to him (one of them was to direct The Firm (1989)) and returned to Finland.
