贝阿特里斯·弗洛雷斯·西尔瓦，Beatriz Flores Silva was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, which later provided the main inspiration for her future films. She worked as a model in Uruguay and studied Architecture before leaving for Europe at 26. Flores Silva earned a B.A. in Filmmaking in 1989 at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion, in Belgium.
