奥布里·申克，Aubrey Schenck practiced law for seven years (1932-39) in New York City, connected with the legal department of 20th Century-Fox; he was also an assistant to Fox president Spyros Skouras, who was based in New York. Schenck wrote a story and submitted it to the studio, asking to be given the chance to produce the picture as well.
